  The coastline is as rough as it looks and the same power of the sea that has caused the natural erosion of the cliffs is responsible for the sinking of upwards of eighty ships. Some of the fated ships were transporting workers to the Victorian gold fields, but they never made it past the Shipwreck Coast.
